South Thousand Islands Health Center Tracks COVID-19 Spread in Tidung Island

South Thousand Islands Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) tracked tens people in Tidung Island Urban Village who had contacted with residents exposed to COVID-19.

Today, we carry out swab test and the result will be known in the next two-four days

South Thousand Islands Sub-district Health Center Head, Ilmi Tri Indiarto conveyed, from yesterday's screening results, his side found two residents positive of COVID-19 and immediately asked them to do self-isolation.

"There are 17 residents suspected of having contact with positive COVID-19 patients. Today, we carry out swab test and the result will be known in the next two-four days after being tested at Jakarta Health Laboratory (Labkesda)," he mentioned, Friday (6/25).

Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Hafsah added, two residents who are currently undergoing self-isolation are under supervision of local health center's team and receiving assistance in form of staple foods and vitamins.

"Hopefully this tracing can anticipate and prevent COVID-19 to spread further. We urge residents to adhere to health protocol to prevent them from being exposed to COVID-19," he stated.
